Sound like you? I know exactly how you feel. Once I turned 50, everything changed. I realized I was counting fewer days ahead of me than behind and suddenly, an old prayer began to haunt me: Let me not die while I’m still alive. That absolutely galvanized me to live every last minute of my remaining days to their fullest, and it got me committed to my own health and wellness like never before.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not a gym rat–never have been. What I’ve learned from 10 years of education in this field is that you don’t have to live in the gym to be strong and healthy.
If you’re like most people, you’re not looking for a rock hard physique with less than 5% body fat. So you really don’t need to train like a body builder–and who has time for that?? Honestly, that’s a part-time job. What you want is a body that will take you into your 90s and never stop you from doing something you love, whether that’s playing golf or tennis, or taking bike tours or walking tours, or playing with your kids or grandkids.
The good news is we can have that body–IF we do it right. Doing it the right way is key. It’s the difference between aging and decaying.
If you’re looking for a body that won’t quit on you before you die, you only need to eat correctly and challenge the brain and body appropriately.
And that’s what all our programs do. They train functional and strong, healthy bodies so we can be independent and never be a burden on anyone. I call that goal, “Functional Longevity.”
